AGE REQUIREMENTS
Age requirements have been set to ensure that each child is physically, emotionally and mentally ready for the challenges of the camp. Campers must be age 8-14 the week they are attending camp to be eligible to attend. Coaches are getting smarter every year; so don’t even try fooling us with fake moustaches.
BIKES
At MBM camp we are riding over features, logs, rocks as well as up and down hills. We want to ensure that your child can keep up and the equipment they are using makes a BIG difference! If you show up with a bike that is ill fitted to the rider or the camp, you will directed to a rent a bike.
No refunds will be issued if bike is deemed unacceptable for camp
BIKE FIXING
We know a thing or two about bike maintenance, but some repairs are either over our heads or take too much time to fix at camp. Our new policy is we can spend up to 15 minutes working on a broken bike and if the fix cannot be done you will be getting a call to come pick up your child or to authorize a day rental.
SWITCHING DATES
We understand that plans can change and sometimes and you may need to switch into another week. First, check if the week is available on our registration system. Let us know by email and we can transfer you for a $25 administration fee.
REFUND POLICY
If you can’t make another camp and want to see if you are eligible for a refund, you are at the right place to find out! The refund amount, (if any) will depend on how close it is to your camp weekend when you make your refund request.
Refund requests made more than 30 days before the start of your registered camp weekend are eligible to receive a full refund, minus a $45 cancellation fee.
Any request made within 30 days of the camp is subject to program directors discretion. The decision will be based upon camp registration numbers and potential waitlist.
To request a refund, please email or call us with your reasoning.
ABSENCES
Sometimes you might have to miss a day of camp for various reasons. We’ll miss you, but we get it. Unfortunately, we cannot give any refund for the missed day as all our coaches are still showing up for all the other riders.
INJURIES
We hope this doesn’t happen, but if you get injured throughout the summer and your injury prevents your from coming to camp we will refund a prorated rate for the days remaining minus $25 administration fee.
DISMISSALS
1, 2, 3 strikes, you’re out. We don’t like doing it, but sometimes the camper just isn’t cut out for camp. The coaches have the right to dismiss any camper whose influence and conduct becomes detrimental to the best interests of the program. No refunds will be made for dismissed campers.
RAIN DAYS
We now have access to the clubhouse at Bristol Pit, which will give us some reprieve from short rain periods. However, if a good portion of the day looks like rain we will move camp to the field house or pool for some indoor fun. If this will change drop off/pick up, we will do our best to text or call the parents. We will still station at least one staff at Bristol for those times, just in case we cannot get a hold of anyone. With that being said, the staff will not be hanging around for the whole day for stragglers. We think 8:15 – 9am is fair to station someone in the morning and 3:15-4:00 in the afternoon. If you show up late, we will leave a sign posted, but make sure to get a couple coaches phone numbers.
We’ve gone over a lot here, but we may have missed something so if you still have a question, let us know!
